Oregon Garden and Butterflies  (7 hours)

We’ll take a quick look at historic downtown Salem and the mill site near the Willamette River where the earliest missionaries, the founders of Salem, first decided to build.  Then we'll drive up to The Oregon Garden (a 80 acre botanical garden) near Silverton.  We’ll return to Salem for a visit to the Willamette Heritage Center which includes the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill and Jason Lee home.  After lunch we’ll visit the Wings of Wonder Butterfly Farm in Buena Vista, take the Buena Vista Ferry (if open), across the Willamette and then return to Salem for a tour of the State Capitol. Hotel pickups start at 8 a.m. Admission to the Gardens and the Butterfly farm is included in the tour price.
